Mommy and Sarah-Grace, together at last!
With Penny and her social worker.
Looking through some kindergarten mementos.
Her class made a beautiful good-bye card for her.
Sarah-Grace and I look at her card together.
We looked through a lot of things they have saved for Sarah-Grace through the years, including some adorable baby pictures and an amazing album from kindergarten. She was so excited and busy the whole time- I had a lot of trouble taking shots with her in the picture, because by the time the flash went off she was gone. Everyone at Jonah House was so kind to Sarah-Grace, and several people came to see her off at the door. We stopped back at the hotel to drop off Sarah-Grace's bags and realized we should stick around and call home before we left for dinner. We watched cartoons and chilled for a bit, then talked to Dad, Rebecca and Kai. It was good to see and hear them!
Then we headed off to dinner. It took us awhile to find a place, but after asking for suggestions at a convenience store, we found a place with a picture menu that sold dumplings, green onion pancakes, and whatever that green leafy Chinese vegetable I like so much is called. Everything was delicious! While we were at dinner Sarah-Grace looked through all the fun things in the purse my Mom had bought for her. She was so cute, sharpening her pencils, trying on the jewelry, and sticking money in her wallet.
After dinner we got a bit lost walking back to our hotel and passed a really fun row of shops all selling (and designing?) bridal gowns. Sarah-Grace was a trooper about all the walking and didn't complain a bit. She held our hands a lot of the time and has been very sweet. She's playing with her toy cell phone now, looking over my shoulder and watching me type.
It's so good to be together at last!
P.S. Can someone leave a comment and tell us if the page is still loading right? On my computer the tan background behind the words is only loading through the first paragraph.
P.P.S. I added some photos to the 2 posts from Japan, so scroll down to see and read about our little adventure in Japan if you haven't yet.

Annie,
That's such an awesome story! She's adorable. I'm glad things have finally worked out. God is good :)
P.S. No, the tan background isn't loading. It sort of stops near the top.
It was so fun to see pictures. Our backround was blue, but the chinese characters are all over the place in front of the words and everything.
Daniel says, How is SSu-ya? It's weird to think that she's going to come home finally. Have a safe trip!

It's so exciting to read all these updates. It's like watching a soap opera and seeing God's grace unfold at the same time. All the drama and hardship to finally get to this point... I'm in awe.
Ssu-ya seems so sweet and animated. One can only wonder all the emotions that's going through her mind!
Have a safe (and a much SMOOTHER) trip back!
